Refund and Returns Policy

Our Refund and Returns Policy is designed to provide you with the best customer experience possible while adhering to the South African Consumer Protection Act (CPA). 1. Refund and Returns Period
Our refund and returns period is 7 days from the date of invoice. If 7 days have passed since your invoice date, unfortunately, we cannot offer you a full refund or exchange.
2. Eligibility for Return
To be eligible for a return, the consumer-grade electronic item must meet the following criteria:
- The item is unused, undamaged, and in the same condition as when you received it.
- The item is in its original packaging, including all accessories and manuals.
Please note that certain consumer-grade electronic items are exempt from being returned under the CPA, including:
- Software, including downloadable software products, once the seal is broken or the software is activated.
- Consumable items such as batteries and printer ink.
- Products damaged due to customer misuse, neglect, or improper handling.
- Items that are not eligible for return as indicated in the product description or sales receipt.
3. Proof of Purchase
To complete your return, we require a receipt or proof of purchase. Please keep your receipt or invoice as proof of purchase.
4. Return Process
If you wish to return a consumer-grade electronic item, please follow these steps:
- Contact our customer support team at returns@ecostart.co.za within the 7-day return period to initiate the return process. Provide your order number and reason for the return.
- Our customer support team will provide you with instructions on how to return the item and the return address.
- Pack the item securely in its original packaging, along with all accessories and manuals.
- Ship the item back to us using a trackable and insured shipping method. The cost of return shipping is the responsibility of the customer.
- Once we receive the returned item and inspect its condition, we will process your refund or exchange.
5. Refunds
If your return is approved, we will initiate a refund to your original method of payment within a reasonable period as required by the CPA. You will receive the credit within a certain number of days, depending on your payment issuer’s policies.
6. Exchanges
We offer exchanges for defective or damaged consumer-grade electronic items. If you need to exchange a product for the same item, please contact our customer support team at returns@ecostart.co.za.
7. Warranty
All our consumer-grade electronic items come with a warranty period as specified in the product description or the warranty card provided with the item. Please refer to the warranty terms for details on coverage and claim process.
